Tracy Shaw Shares Emotional Update After First Chemotherapy Session 💛

Former Coronation Street star Tracy Shaw has opened up about the difficult start to her chemotherapy treatment following her breast cancer diagnosis.

The 52-year-old actress, best known for playing Maxine Peacock, told fans that her first chemo injection had left her feeling drained and emotional.

In a candid Instagram video, Tracy explained that the treatment can affect her heart, meaning she will need regular scans throughout the process. She also said her immune system will now be extremely low, forcing her to avoid socialising and carefully monitor her temperature because of the risk of infection or sepsis.Coronation Street actress Tracy Shaw said she is struggling in emotional update after undergoing her first chemotherapy session following her breast cancer diagnosis

Tracy praised her sons, Luca and Louis, for supporting her through the frightening first steps of treatment. She said Luca sat with her in hospital, giving her comfort as she prepared for what she described as her body “going to war” against the cancer.

Despite the side effects — including exhaustion and a metallic taste when eating — Tracy remains determined to keep fighting.Tracy Shaw Coronation Street Print (00139). Art Prints, Posters & Puzzles from Memory Lane

She also praised NHS nurses and hospital staff, calling them “angels,” while urging more support for the health service.

Looking ahead, Tracy said she hopes to have surgery after chemotherapy to remove the lumps and affected lymph nodes, followed by further tests and radiotherapy if needed.

Her honest words have deeply moved fans, with many praising her bravery, openness and strength as she faces the long road ahead.
