Zoe Ball is reportedly preparing for a major radio comeback after narrowly missing out on the chance to host Strictly Come Dancing.
The 55-year-old presenter, who stepped down from her BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show late last year, is said to have secured a new role at rival station Greatest Hits Radio.
The move would see Zoe join a line-up that already includes former Radio 2 favourites Ken Bruce and Simon Mayo.
Her new chapter comes after she lost out on the Strictly presenting job to Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe, who are set to replace longtime hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
According to reports, Greatest Hits Radio had been keen to bring Zoe in for some time, and she is expected to join the station this autumn.
Zoe has since spoken openly about missing out on Strictly, joking that she is “quite happy” not to be on camera every week.
She also praised the new hosting trio, saying Emma, Josh and Johannes will do a brilliant job when the show returns.
After decades as one of Britain’s most familiar broadcasters, Zoe’s next move suggests she is far from slowing down — and fans may soon be hearing her back where she belongs: behind the microphone.
