TOWIE’s Jordan Brook Makes Important Health Milestone After Hospitalization for Meningitis
Jordan Brook, star of The Only Way Is Essex, has shared a significant health milestone after an intense battle with both meningitis and encephalitis that saw him fighting for his life in hospital. The 31-year-old reality TV star was admitted to the hospital in March after a virus attacked his brain, leaving him unable to speak or walk.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Jordan revealed the severity of his condition, saying, “The virus was swelling my brain at a dangerous rate, causing changes in my personality. There were times in the hospital when I didn’t even know who I was.”
Thankfully, after a lengthy recovery process, Jordan has returned home and is now gearing up to return to work. The star has been sharing updates with his followers on Instagram, expressing his joy at being able to take “the biggest step back into reality” since his hospital stay.
“I’m excited to get back to work. Everyone who knows me knows I’ve always been eager to jump back into things,” Jordan shared. “Being self-employed while being ill was a challenge I’ve never faced before, and getting back to work is not just vital for my physical and mental health but also for the life I want to give my son.”
His fiancée, Geordie Shore star Sophie Kasaei, is expecting their first child in June, and Jordan admits he has some concerns about whether he’s strong enough to be the father and role model he wants to be.
“I’m a little nervous, wondering if I’m strong enough, if I can be a good father, and if I’m ready for what’s to come,” he said. “But I’m so excited and can’t wait to start this next chapter with Sophie and our baby.”
