Sophie Kasaei, 31, has revealed the heartbreaking challenges she’s facing as her boyfriend, Jordan Brook, remains in hospital battling viral meningitis and encephalitis. The pregnant TOWIE star shared a heartfelt update on Instagram, admitting that the past month has been “the worst month of our lives” as she navigates the turmoil of her partner’s health struggles while also preparing for their baby.
Jordan, 30, was diagnosed with viral meningitis and encephalitis, a rare inflammation of the brain, and has been experiencing seizures as a result. Sophie described how witnessing Jordan’s condition has been “scary” and emotionally taxing, noting that despite everything, Jordan’s strength and the love they share for their unborn child are keeping the family going.
Sophie, who is currently 28 weeks pregnant, expressed her hope for Jordan’s recovery, saying: “He keeps us all going, our baby keeps him going more than ever.” She revealed that the couple had been facing this health crisis while juggling their family responsibilities. Jordan, who is still receiving treatment for the swelling on his brain, remains focused on his health, and Sophie shared a video from Jordan where he opened up about his diagnosis, urging people not to speculate on his condition.
In her emotional post, Sophie acknowledged the difficulty of balancing her own pregnancy with the trauma of seeing Jordan struggle. She shared a mirror selfie with her baby bump and said she was “praying for the day he comes home.” Sophie also expressed gratitude for her family and friends who have been there for her, adding: “Life is so unpredictable… it makes you appreciate so much more when you go through these times.”
Jordan’s condition remains serious, with the swelling on his brain worsening despite medical intervention. However, he remains hopeful, saying he will fight to get healthy for his family. He thanked supporters for their kindness and for looking out for Sophie during this difficult time.
The couple’s ordeal has been made even harder by the uncertainty surrounding Jordan’s recovery, but Sophie remains positive and committed to supporting him every step of the way.
