Social media star Angry Ginge has shared devastating news with his fans, revealing that his mother’s house was destroyed by fire — and tragically, her beloved pets did not survive.
The I’m A Celebrity winner, 24, known to his millions of followers as Angry Ginge, had just returned from taking part in this year’s Soccer Aid, where he helped England secure a 3-2 victory over World XI. Yet, behind the celebrations, a family tragedy was unfolding.

On Monday, Angry Ginge posted to Instagram Stories, explaining that he would be taking time away from streaming. “Just letting you all know I probably won’t be live tonight as we have had a major family issue… I need to be with the family and make sure everything is ok,” he wrote, thanking fans for their support.
The shocking reality became clearer the next day. Wearing a face mask and rubber gloves, Angry Ginge livestreamed from the scene, revealing charred walls and the devastation inside his mum’s house. He clarified that, thankfully, no one was physically hurt, but heartbreakingly, his mum’s two cats and rabbit had perished in the fire.

“Morning of Soccer Aid I get a phone call saying mum’s house has burned down,” he said, voice breaking. “This isn’t even the worst of the worst. We are dealing with this at the minute.” Pointing a torch around the lounge, he showed viewers the full extent of the damage.
During a Twitch stream on Wednesday, the star paid tribute to the pets. “My mum had two cats and a rabbit in the house. They obviously didn’t survive, so rest in peace, Simba, Herbert, and Sparky,” he said tearfully, sharing old photos of the animals and recalling life with them.
Angry Ginge admitted that if his mum had been home, she might not have made it out. “I suppose that’s the fortunate thing,” he said. “She wasn’t there because she was in London for Soccer Aid. That’s how bad it was.”

Fans flooded social media with messages of support, sending condolences and praising the star for his bravery in sharing such a personal tragedy. Through the heartbreak, Angry Ginge remains focused on family, vowing to return to streaming when he can.
This heartbreaking incident is a stark reminder of life’s fragility — even for those who seem larger than life online — and the importance of family when tragedy strikes.
