Dua Lipa has shared the first official photographs from her spectacular Sicilian wedding celebration with Callum Turner, offering fans a glimpse inside the couple’s reported £1.5million festivities.
The 30-year-old singer looked radiant in a bespoke Chanel haute couture bridal gown as she exchanged vows with the Fantastic Beasts actor at the historic Villa Valguarnera near Palermo.
Dua and Callum, 36, held the lavish ceremony six days after legally marrying at Marylebone Town Hall in west London.
Their Sicilian celebration therefore had no additional legal significance but gave the newlyweds an opportunity to mark their marriage in front of approximately 150 relatives and close friends.
Sharing a selection of images on Instagram, Dua kept her caption simple: “Mr and Mrs.”
The wedding album, captured by renowned fashion photographer David Sims, showed the couple embracing, dancing and celebrating into the early hours.
One image featured Callum waiting for his bride to arrive, while others showed Dua posing in the villa’s grand grounds and enjoying the reception with a glass of champagne in her hand.
The party reportedly continued until 6am and included a ten-minute firework display illuminating the Sicilian sky.
Dua’s bridal gown was created by Chanel artistic director Matthieu Blazy and combined thousands of silver and white beads with an enormous feathered train.
The backless halterneck design was embellished with a reported 25,000 feathers, creating a dramatic silhouette as Dua walked through the historic venue.
Chanel said the gown required 1,155 hours of specialist needlework.
A plume of feathers was also placed in Dua’s hair and connected to a cathedral-length veil that reportedly took a further 3,220 hours to embroider.
Callum complemented his bride in a tailored Louis Vuitton suit.
The couple appeared delighted as they posed together following the ceremony before joining guests for the evening reception.
Famous friends quickly filled Dua’s Instagram comments with messages of congratulations.
Katy Perry described the newlyweds as “sweetie babies”, while Vicky Pattison wrote: “OMG, congratulations you two.”
Ferne McCann also praised the photographs and offered her congratulations.
The three-day wedding celebration was based around Palermo and featured several events at historic locations.
The principal ceremony took place at Villa Valguarnera in Bagheria, east of the Sicilian capital.
Built during the 18th century, the estate provided an appropriately grand backdrop for the couple’s celebrations, with imposing architecture, landscaped grounds and ornate interiors.
White flowers lined the aisle, while chairs were decorated with single silk ribbons.
Inside, peonies and hyacinths reportedly filled the rooms, and photo booths allowed guests to create souvenirs from the weekend.
Each attendee was also given a red-and-white embroidered fan decorated with Cupid hearts and the initials “D&C”.
Guests were welcomed with a cocktail reception on the terrace before moving inside for a three-course dinner created by Michelin-starred chef Tony Lo Coco.
The menu celebrated traditional Sicilian flavours.
Dishes reportedly included anelletti alla Norma, a baked pasta dish featuring aubergine, as well as panelle chickpea fritters and crocché potato snacks.
Cannoli and cassata sponge cake were served for dessert.
The celebration also included a tribute to Dua’s Albanian heritage.
Sources claimed local members of Sicily’s Albanian community performed traditional music and dances while the singer’s parents, Anesa and Dukagjin Lipa, enthusiastically joined the festivities.
Dua has frequently spoken about the importance of her Kosovan-Albanian background and has maintained a close relationship with the region throughout her international career.
Her heritage was therefore incorporated into an event otherwise shaped by Sicilian food, scenery and culture.
Sir Elton John, one of Dua’s closest friends and musical collaborators, reportedly performed his classic ballad Your Song during the reception.
The pair previously worked together on the global hit Cold Heart, which brought Elton’s music to a new generation of listeners and strengthened their personal friendship.
Charli XCX and Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace were also said to be among the guests.
Dua wore additional white creations during the wider celebrations, including designs by Versace.
At a cocktail event at Palazzo Valguarnera Gangi, she appeared in a white dress created by Donatella.
Reports suggested that two separate outfits were made for the occasion: one covered with glittering embellishments for the formal element and another designed for the later party.
The wedding followed a romance that began in January 2024.
Dua and Callum reportedly met at a gathering in Los Angeles and discovered they were both reading Hernan Diaz’s novel Trust.
