The 67-year-old presenter appeared on BBC’s Morning Live on Friday, May 29, reporting from Manchester Airport as she looked into delays linked to new EU fingerprint scanning checks.

Penny, who became GMTV’s main newsreader in 1993, was once a familiar morning face alongside stars including Lorraine Kelly, Eamonn Holmes and John Stapleton.
