The 32-year-old Love Island star, who is also a mother to son Abel, three, explained that the difficult delivery left her feeling that she could “never go through childbirth again.” Olivia recalled the traumatic experience during the birth of Siena, where she almost lost her life due to excessive blood loss.

In an emotional interview, Olivia stated, “We are absolutely done. Alex had a vasectomy the other day, so no more kids for us.” She continued, “There were a lot of reasons—personal ones, environmental ones, external ones, but ultimately we just feel complete now.”

The decision follows a harrowing experience for Olivia last year when she nearly died during a C-section delivery after suffering a major haemorrhage. On her reality show, Olivia & Alex: Parenthood, Olivia broke down as she recalled the life-threatening situation. She shared how she lost nearly 3 liters of blood during the delivery of her daughter, leaving her fearing for her life.Olivia said she could 'never go through childbirth again' after nearly dying in child birth last year (Pictured with six-month-old daughter Siena and son Abel, three)

She said, “I ended up losing 2.8 liters of blood and you only have 4.5 liters, so the blood loss… to feel that you are that close to losing your life, was very, very scary.”

The couple, who married in 2018 after meeting on the reality show, have expressed that they now feel complete with their two children.

Olivia’s health anxiety has been a focus of the family’s journey, as she revealed the intense pain she went through during the birth of Siena. What was initially planned as a home birth quickly turned into an emergency situation, leading to a rushed hospital visit. Olivia explained, “I remember thinking don’t close your eyes because I thought I’d pass out or even worse. It was very close.”

Reflecting on the experience, Alex admitted that witnessing his wife’s ordeal left him “traumatised,” and he vowed never to go through such a terrifying moment again.

Grateful for the incredible care she received, Olivia praised the NHS, saying, “The doctors were absolutely incredible. The NHS were amazing, they saved my life.” Despite the traumatic event, she has now processed the ordeal, but her husband remains deeply affected by what happened.

The Bowens now look forward to focusing on their growing family, with Olivia expressing that her life is “complete” and that she and Alex are in agreement that their family is now as it should be.
