JoJo Siwa has revealed she has been forced to slow down after a terrifying golf cart accident left her with concussion — just as the singer was preparing for one of the busiest stretches of her career.
The 23-year-old performer, who has been throwing herself into rehearsals and preparations for her upcoming cruise event, told fans she is now on “bed and couch rest” after being thrown from a golf cart in a frightening accident.

And in a painful double blow, JoJo also revealed she is battling a nasty eye infection that has left her needing sunglasses and, at times, an eyepatch. 💔
Sharing the update in a candid Instagram video, the former Dance Moms star warned followers that her eye looked “scary” before showing the visible effects of the infection. She admitted she was “a mess” after suffering both the concussion and the eye problem in the same exhausting week.
JoJo explained that the accident happened when she was turning left in a golf cart and the wheel appeared to lock. According to the singer, the vehicle malfunctioned and threw her off, causing her to land on her neck, hit her head and flip over.
It was the kind of moment that could have ended far worse.

JoJo made clear she understands how lucky she was to escape without more serious injuries. She told followers that doctors had examined her and that she had seen three medical professionals as she tried to understand the full extent of what had happened.
“The good news about the accident is I’m really lucky how I ended up,” she said, adding that she could have been “seriously, seriously injured.”
The emotional update showed a very different side of JoJo — away from the stage lights, glitter, rehearsals and high-energy performances fans know her for. Instead, she appeared vulnerable, tired and clearly frustrated by being forced to rest when her schedule remains packed.

In her caption, JoJo explained that the accident took place last Monday and that her concussion has been improving with rest, though she admitted she is still “nowhere near 100%.” Her eye, however, has been taking longer than expected to heal.
Despite that, JoJo said she is already planning to return to rehearsals, even though she knows it may be earlier than ideal. She admitted she will need to be extremely careful because she is not fully recovered, but added that she is beginning to understand the famous entertainment phrase: “The show must go on.” ✨
Still, she made sure fans knew the sunglasses were not for drama or celebrity attitude.
JoJo explained that if people see her wearing them, it is because she is trying to protect her eye and give it relief from light. She said the eyepatch became difficult to manage while recovering from the concussion, so she now only uses it when she needs a full break from light.
For fans, the update sparked concern and support in equal measure.
JoJo has always been known for pushing through pressure with a huge smile, but this latest setback is a reminder that even the most energetic stars have limits. Concussion recovery can be frightening, especially when mixed with work commitments, pain and the anxiety of not knowing how quickly the body will bounce back.

Her accident also comes during a major personal and professional moment.
JoJo recently released the 10th Anniversary EP of her hit song Boomerang, a track that helped define her early rise and remains deeply connected to her message of resilience. Now, years later, she is once again leaning into that same fighting spirit — only this time, the battle is physical as well as emotional. 💪
The health scare also arrives as JoJo continues to speak openly about her relationship with Chris Hughes, following a wave of public scrutiny surrounding the early days of their romance.
The pair first grew close on Celebrity Big Brother, where their bond attracted huge attention because JoJo was still in a relationship with Kath Ebbs at the time. After the show ended, JoJo split from Kath, and speculation quickly intensified over whether her friendship with Chris had turned romantic.
Now, with the couple celebrating their one-year anniversary, JoJo has said the outside noise never truly controlled them. She admitted the backlash may have affected them slightly at first, but insisted they never sat down to dissect every rumour or opinion.
For JoJo, the only views that really matter are hers, Chris’s and her mother’s.
That confidence seems to define her current mindset too.
She may be injured.
She may be frustrated.
She may be stuck between doctor’s orders and professional commitments.
But JoJo Siwa is still trying to move forward — carefully, honestly and with the same determination that has carried her through fame, reinvention and public pressure.
For now, her fans are sending one clear message: rest, recover and come back stronger. ❤️
