Jeremy Clarkson Faces Health Scare on Farm as He Ignores Doctor’s Orders
Jeremy Clarkson, the 66-year-old motoring and television personality, delivered a heart-stopping moment for fans during the latest episodes of Clarkson’s Farm when he was seen struggling to breathe while chopping down a Christmas tree on his Oxfordshire estate.

The incident comes after Clarkson experienced severe cardiovascular issues in October 2024, which led to an emergency admission at John Radcliffe Hospital, where doctors warned him that a heart attack could be imminent. Despite these warnings, the veteran broadcaster and farmer chose to resume physical tasks on the farm against medical advice.

In a clip from the second episode of the fifth series, available on Prime Video, Clarkson attempts to saw through a small fir tree for his pub’s Christmas grotto. He lies on the ground to begin the task but quickly halts as laboured breathing forces him to pause. On standing, his discomfort is evident, and he admits to the film crew: “I shouldn’t be doing this.”
Medical guidance following his heart issues advised six weeks of rest and avoidance of strenuous activity, alongside a one-week ban on driving. Yet Clarkson has repeatedly flouted these instructions, attending public events in London and engaging in farm work.

The broadcaster’s girlfriend, Lisa Hogan, intervened during one chaotic moment when Clarkson attempted to drive to his pub to confront trespassers, firmly instructing him to stay put. Clarkson responded, citing the urgency of the situation, but Lisa insisted on caution, emphasising his health risks.
The footage highlights the risk Clarkson is willing to take in his relentless commitment to farm life and television, offering viewers a glimpse of the determination and stubbornness that has defined his persona.

Fans watching the show have expressed concern over Clarkson’s well-being, noting that even the most devoted fans are shocked to see him disregard medical advice so soon after a serious heart scare.
Clarkson’s Farm season five is currently streaming on Prime Video, with the first four episodes available to watch, documenting the ongoing trials and triumphs of life on the farm — often at the peril of its famous owner.
