Jack Osbourne and his wife, Aree Gearhart, have shared a moment of pure joy with fans around the world: the arrival of their baby girl, named in a touching tribute to his late father, rock icon Ozzy Osbourne.
The former MTV star, 40, announced the birth of Ozzy Matilda Osbourne on Instagram, capturing hearts with an adorable photo of the newborn nestled beside a bat plushie and a “Hello World” badge. “She’s arrived and she’s perfect,” Jack wrote, revealing that the little one came into the world on March 5 just before 9 a.m.
Fans quickly flooded the post with congratulations, celebrating the meaningful name. “Yay, we have another Ozzy Osbourne! The world is right again,” commented one follower, while another added, “I’m sure Ozzy is smiling.”:max_bytes(150000):strip_icc():focal(742x222:744x224)/jack-osbourne-welcomes-baby-daughter-ozzy-matilda-031126-14f3b0a6251c4699b946799148cd1ba8.jpg)
The joyous news follows a challenging year for Jack, whose father passed away in July at age 76 after a six-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Knowing he was going to be a grandfather again brought Ozzy comfort during his final days.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Jack described his daughter’s arrival as a source of healing and hope: “It’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing… it’s taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked it in hopefulness.”
Jack and Aree are already parents to three-year-old Maple, and Jack has three daughters from a previous marriage. This newest addition has been met with immense excitement, not only for her arrival but also for the meaningful connection to Ozzy’s enduring legacy.
This new chapter brings light, love, and warmth to the Osbourne family — a celebration of life, remembrance, and the joy of welcoming a new generation.
