Danniella Westbrook, the 52-year-old former EastEnders star, has revealed she will undergo six more surgical procedures to reconstruct her face — a heart-wrenching confession that highlights the long and challenging journey she has faced since her teenage fame.

Speaking on Vanessa Feltz’s show on Monday, June 8, Danniella showcased the results of her latest surgery and opened up about the intense process she has endured. Over the past few years, the star has undergone multiple surgeries, including a full face, neck, and brow lift, as well as lip and nose reconstruction in Dubai earlier this year.
“I’ve been for umpteen surgeries; I’m coming up to surgery number six this Thursday, so it’s quite scary,” Danniella admitted. She explained that the deterioration of her facial bones due to osteoporosis has made the procedures more complex. “On this side of my face, I don’t have any bone at all. So they’ve got to rebuild all my bones. At the moment, it’s filler, but they’ve really got to do a metal bone.”

Danniella detailed the next stage of her journey: “So I’ve got to have a metal cheekbone here and connect it to further up in here where the bone isn’t corroding.” She also revealed a hare lip reversal and ongoing adjustments to align both sides of her face. “Every two and a half, three months, I’m in surgery. I hate looking in the mirror,” she confessed.
The star also spoke candidly about the trolling she has faced over her appearance. “I’ve people telling me to die and go kill myself… I’ve had terrible trolling, but also a lot of lovely people online who support me,” she said. Danniella explained that she avoids social media most of the time to protect her mental health.

Despite the challenges, Danniella says she is living a fulfilling life. She is sober, busy running her own celebrity talent agency with her sister-in-law, and enjoying her independence. “Every day I wake up breathing is a result after everything I’ve been through and put myself through,” she reflected. She even joked about her celebrity crush, saying, “I wouldn’t mind [finding love again] if it came in the shape of Professor Green.”
Danniella’s story is a raw and emotional reminder of the human toll of fame, addiction, and the lengths some go to reclaim their confidence and face the world anew. Her honesty about the physical and emotional challenges she faces continues to resonate with fans and supporters alike.
