Camilla Kerslake’s Shocking Recovery After Laser Treatment: “The Pain Was Unbelievable”
Camilla Kerslake, wife of former rugby star Chris Robshaw, has revealed the painful and unexpected side effects she suffered after undergoing a CO2 laser skin treatment. The classical singer, 37, shared her recovery journey with her followers on Instagram, showing the severe swelling and redness that followed the procedure.
The treatment, which is commonly used to treat deep wrinkles, sun damage, and acne scars, involves creating tiny micro-injuries in the skin to stimulate collagen production. It’s a procedure that has gained popularity among celebrities, including Olivia Attwood, for its rejuvenating effects. However, for Kerslake, the aftermath was far more challenging than anticipated.

In a candid Instagram post, Camilla explained that she wasn’t prepared for the level of pain and swelling she experienced after the treatment. “The last 48 hours have been incredibly tough! I wasn’t ready for how painful and swollen it would be,” she admitted. “I trust the process and hope tomorrow will be better.”
Sharing a photo of her face post-treatment, Camilla’s complexion appeared extremely red and swollen, with the discomfort making simple tasks, such as eating, difficult. “I couldn’t even open my mouth properly,” she said in a video. “It was a shock to see myself looking like this.”

Despite the physical toll, Camilla remained optimistic. “The pain is nearly gone, but it’s still really tight,” she shared on day two of recovery. “The redness is fading a little, but when I woke up this morning, my eyes didn’t even open properly.”
The singer-turned-influencer, who has two young children with Robshaw, Wilder and Hunter, continued to document her recovery process. In one update, she shared a picture of herself wearing an oxygen mask in a hyperbaric chamber, a method believed to aid in reducing swelling and promoting healing.

Although the side effects were far more intense than she had anticipated, Camilla remains committed to the healing process. “I knew there would be swelling and redness, but not to this extent,” she confessed. “I’m just trying to keep my spirits up and trust that this will all be worth it.”
With her recovery now in progress, the classical music artist continues to balance her duties as a mother and public figure. Her journey serves as a reminder of the often-unseen challenges celebrities face in their pursuit of beauty and rejuvenation.
