Alison’s fitness routine features a combination of Reformer Pilates, personal training, and resistance exercises, which she credits with helping her maintain her dramatic weight loss. “I’ve got a personal trainer who is amazing,” she shared. “She trains me when I can. If I’m working, I’ll go for a walk, but when I’m at home, I train with her in the morning, just an hour, four days a week.”

Incorporating Reformer Pilates into her routine has been a game changer for Alison, particularly for her muscle strength and flexibility. She described it as “brilliant” for someone like her, noting, “I’m as stiff as a board, so Pilates is helping me loosen up.” The resistance training, with its focus on building endurance and targeting specific muscle groups, has been equally beneficial.

Personal trainer Lui Mancini has played a pivotal role in Alison’s success. Alison’s exercise routine also includes a 10-minute warm-up on the treadmill or an indoor bike, followed by a rigorous 30-minute upper-body strength session that involves exercises like lat pulldowns, dumbbell rows, and lateral raises. She works out between two to four times per week, depending on her schedule.

Beyond fitness, Alison has found balance in her diet. She eats what she wants but in moderation, never denying herself any cravings. “I don’t deny myself anything, I eat everything, but in moderation,” she explained. Her go-to indulgence is curried goat with rice, a dish she enjoys while carefully managing her portion sizes. To keep her immune system in top shape, Alison also swears by ginger shots.
