Alan Carr to Renovate £3.25 Million Scottish Castle for New TV Show
Alan Carr is just days away from receiving the keys to his newly purchased £3.25 million Scottish castle, Ayton Castle, which he plans to transform for a new TV series. The Celebrity Traitors champion, 49, is set to document the renovation of the sprawling estate, which boasts 17 bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a five-storey tower, a private chapel, and 106 acres of gardens.
Carr, who was inspired by the grandeur of Ardross Castle, where Celebrity Traitors is filmed, plans to turn his new baronial-style home into a luxury hotel and spa. He has already signed a seven-figure deal with Disney+ to air the renovation series titled Castle Man, which will follow a similar format to his show with Amanda Holden.

In a recent interview, Alan shared his excitement, saying, “As I turn 50, I feel it’s time. All I want is a turret to call my own.” This venture marks a new chapter in his life as a self-declared baron, after purchasing the barony title associated with the estate, which dates back to 1324. Alan has big plans for his castle, including designing his own tartan.
Fans will soon see his vision come to life on Disney+ as Alan embarks on his journey of creating a luxurious retreat from a stunning piece of history. Meanwhile, local residents have expressed concerns over public access to the grounds, with a planned community meeting being postponed due to overwhelming interest.
Stay tuned for the keys to his dream castle and the exciting renovation ahead!
