Mark Feehily, the distinctive voice behind many of Westlife’s biggest hits, will not take part in the band’s 25th anniversary tour as he continues recovering from a series of serious health issues that have unfolded over the past few years. Feehily’s health struggles date back to 2020, when he suffered a life-threatening case of sepsis following routine surgery and was admitted to intensive care. Since then, he has faced additional complications, including pneumonia and several follow-up surgeries, which have significantly prolonged his recovery.

In a message shared with fans on New Year’s Eve, the singer acknowledged that both his body and mind need time to heal, explaining that stepping away from touring is necessary for his full recovery.
