Katie Price Opens Up About Health Struggles and Weight Concerns: “I Look Too Skinny”
Katie Price has candidly opened up about her ongoing weight issues, revealing that she is “too thin” and has sought medical help for answers. The former glamour model addressed her shrinking frame on Good Morning Britain, where host Susanna Reid expressed concern about the star’s visibly “very skinny” appearance.
For the past year, Katie’s dramatic weight loss has sparked growing concern among her fans, who have noticed the toll it seems to be taking on her health. In her recent interview, Katie didn’t shy away from discussing her struggles.
Appearing alongside hosts Susanna Reid, 55, and Ed Balls, 59, Katie reassured them that they could “ask her anything,” leading to a frank discussion about her weight. Susanna, visibly concerned, addressed the issue directly: “Katie, can I ask, because I am concerned about your weight. Because you are very, very, very skinny.”
Katie acknowledged her condition, admitting, “So people who follow me online will know I have lost weight. I recognize I look too skinny. I look gaunt.” She went on to explain that she had consulted doctors in a bid to understand why she was losing weight so rapidly, undergoing a range of medical tests, including blood work and even an unusual test involving stool samples.
When asked whether her doctors had provided any answers, Katie shared, “And I said to them, ‘everyone says I’m on Ozempic.’ And they said, ‘well, we can tell in your blood you’re not.’” Despite this, she revealed she was suffering from a lack of iron and was undergoing further tests to find the underlying cause. She also mentioned that she was going through pre-menopause, which could be contributing to her physical changes.
Katie’s revelation came just a month after she had made headlines for gaining weight following her whirlwind marriage to Lee Andrews, 41. In an Instagram video, she admitted she had “actually put on half a stone” since tying the knot, jokingly attributing her weight gain to her new husband being a “feeder.” Despite previously calling herself a “stick woman,” Katie seemed more at ease with her body as she confessed, “I can’t stop eating.”
Her admission sparked a wave of support from fans who are rooting for her health and well-being. Katie continued, “So it goes to show, that when you’re happy… you’ll be pleased to know I’ve put on half a stone because I can’t stop eating,” she laughed, referring to her husband’s influence. She also joked about her eating habits, with Lee humorously adding, “You eat a lot.”
In January, Katie had addressed her ongoing weight loss on her podcast, saying she was aware of the “gaunt” appearance she had developed. “I know I look like I’m ill, hence why I’m going to the doctors tomorrow,” she said, confirming her commitment to finding answers. She also acknowledged that, despite eating “everything in sight,” her body wasn’t gaining weight as expected.
As part of her efforts to counter the impact of her weight loss, Katie had even opted for cheek fillers, a decision she made to address her “slender” face. “I’ve had filler put in my face, which I didn’t want to do,” she revealed. “I’m glad I did but I just need these to go down,” referring to her plumper cheeks.
Katie concluded the conversation by reaffirming her determination to regain weight, though her ongoing health battle continues to pose challenges. “I just want to put on weight, I really do but I’m just not,” she confessed, leaving fans with a mix of concern and support for her journey ahead.
As Katie continues to seek medical advice, fans are hopeful she will soon find the answers she desperately needs.
