Peter Andre Left Red-Faced As Princess Serenades Him With Mysterious Girl After ‘A Few Tequilas’
Peter Andre was left hilariously embarrassed after his daughter Princess treated him to an enthusiastic performance of his biggest hit, Mysterious Girl.
The singer, 53, shared a playful family video on Instagram showing Princess singing along to the 1990s classic while adding her own energetic dance moves.
Peter jokingly explained that the performance was the result of “a few tequilas”, as he filmed his daughter throwing herself wholeheartedly into the song.
“This is what we have to deal with when this lot have had a couple of tequilas,” he told his followers.
The former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestant then turned the camera towards himself as his eldest son Junior, 20, repeatedly declared his love for him.
Junior kissed his father on the cheek and said: “I love you.”
Looking amused and slightly confused, Peter replied: “Son, what are you doing?”
Princess continued singing in the background before Peter asked her the same question.
“What are you doing?” he said.
She laughed and replied: “I don’t know.”
The brother and sister then joined forces to deliver an even louder rendition of the famous track, while their increasingly red-faced father watched from behind the camera.
Peter joked: “If tequila makes you put me through this, then I don’t know what’s going on.”
He then attempted to escape the family performance, adding: “Thank you, guys. I’m leaving.”
Alongside the video, the father of five wrote: “I can’t cope any more, guys. Seriously. Help me!”
Princess later joined in the joke in the comments, writing: “Oh dear. Too much tequila.”
Fans were delighted by the light-hearted clip and praised Peter’s warm relationship with his children.
One follower wrote: “This is absolutely hilarious. Tequila really is the devil.”
Another told him: “You are such a brilliant dad.”
A third commented: “Your children are clearly your pride and joy. It is lovely to see the bond you all have.”
Others were entertained by Princess and Junior reviving Peter’s pop career in front of him.
One fan joked: “They are keeping the 1990s alive while their dad turns every shade of red.”
Mysterious Girl was originally released in 1995 and became Peter’s signature song after reaching number two in the UK charts the following year.
The track later returned to number one when it was re-released in 2004 following Peter’s appearance on I’m A Celebrity.
Despite his mock embarrassment, Peter appeared delighted to be spending time with Junior and Princess, whom he shares with former wife Katie Price.
The singer is also father to Amelia and Theo with his wife Emily, as well as their younger daughter Arabella.
Princess, meanwhile, has increasingly been building a career of her own away from the enormous fame of her parents.
She has appeared in two series of the ITV2 reality programme The Princess Diaries, which follows her personal life and growing ambitions.
She is also preparing to enter the beauty industry with the launch of her own make-up range.
Sources close to the young star have claimed she is determined to create an independent business empire and earn her success on her own terms.
One insider described Princess as highly focused, commercially aware and eager to maintain control over both her career and public image.
She has previously spoken about her ambition to earn her first million before turning 20.
Her increasingly prominent television and beauty projects suggest that goal may not be entirely unrealistic.
Junior has also followed his father into the entertainment industry, releasing his own music and developing a public profile separate from the Andre family name.
However, the latest video showed that despite their individual ambitions, both siblings remain happy to embarrass their famous father whenever the opportunity arises.
For Peter, being serenaded with the song that launched his career may have been deeply awkward.
For his followers, however, the chaotic family moment offered an affectionate glimpse of a father surrounded by children who clearly adore him — even when they are mercilessly teasing him.
