Andy Reid has dismissed suggestions that Travis Kelce’s reported wedding plans with Taylor Swift are distracting the Kansas City Chiefs star from football.
The veteran tight end has faced intense attention as speculation continues over when and where he and Swift could marry.
But according to the Chiefs head coach, Kelce has remained completely locked in during Kansas City’s offseason programme and mandatory minicamp.
Reid described the 10-time Pro Bowler as the “ultimate pro” and insisted that football remains his priority whenever he enters the Chiefs’ facility.
His head, Reid joked, is filled with “Xs and Os, not ‘I do’s.’”
Kelce remains focused on football
Kelce attended all three days of mandatory minicamp from June 9 to June 11, despite a packed week of major events involving Swift.
The singer appeared at the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles, attended Game 4 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York.
Kelce missed the first two appearances because of his commitments in Kansas City.
The Chiefs highlighted his participation by posting a practice video with the caption: “87 at work.”
After minicamp concluded, Kelce travelled to New York in time to support Swift at the Hall of Fame ceremony.
His decision to complete all of his football obligations before joining his fiancée appeared to reinforce Reid’s assessment that he has been handling both sides of his life professionally.
Reid refuses to discuss reported date
When reporters questioned Reid about claims that Swift and Kelce could marry at Madison Square Garden on July 3, the coach quickly shut down the conversation.
“Can’t talk about it,” Reid replied before steering the discussion back toward the team.
The brief answer did little to stop speculation, but it made clear that Reid was not prepared to reveal — or confirm — any private details.
Neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly announced a wedding date, venue or guest list.
For now, the growing collection of reported details remains unconfirmed.

Reports have claimed that Swift may have reserved Madison Square Garden for several days around the July 3 weekend.
One alleged plan would involve more than 1,000 guests and require multiple days for preparation, security and the ceremony itself.
The estimated cost of renting and preparing the venue has been placed at close to $3 million, though no official figure has been confirmed.
Several famous names have been linked to the rumoured guest list, including Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid, Zoë Kravitz and the Haim sisters.
Invitations were reportedly delivered privately, with guests allegedly instructed not to share any details.
However, the couple’s representatives have not confirmed any of those claims.
Taylor’s courtside appearance fuels speculation
Swift’s appearance at Madison Square Garden during the NBA Finals only intensified interest in the venue.
She sat courtside with Alana and Este Haim as the New York Knicks staged a dramatic comeback against the San Antonio Spurs.
Some observers jokingly suggested that she may have been inspecting the arena ahead of the reported wedding.
Others argued that she was simply attending one of the biggest sporting events in New York.
