Tom Read Wilson has spoken candidly about his love life, admitting that he has never truly been in love — but insisting he is no longer searching for someone to complete him.
The Celebs Go Dating star, 39, who won a new wave of fans after finishing runner-up on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, revealed that his outlook on romance has changed dramatically in recent years.
Speaking on Paul Brunson’s podcast We Need To Talk, Tom said he is now genuinely happy being single.
He explained that he once believed a “gentleman” was missing from his life, but no longer feels that way. While he would welcome love if it arrived naturally, he is not actively chasing a relationship.
💬 “I’d like to know that feeling at some stage,” he admitted, adding that finding “his person” would be lovely — but not something he needs in order to feel fulfilled.
Tom also joked about one of his most recognisable traits: his refined, effeminate voice. With typical humour, he suggested it does not always help in romantic situations, laughing that it may not be “an aphrodisiac”.
His distinctive way of speaking became a major talking point during his time in the jungle, where viewers were both charmed and intrigued by his vocabulary, humour and occasional playful accents.
Despite the attention, Tom has always insisted his voice is completely natural — and part of what makes him who he is.
His honesty about love, confidence and self-acceptance has only made fans warm to him more, proving that Tom Read Wilson’s greatest appeal is his ability to be entirely, unapologetically himself.
