Bobby Brazier has revealed he is leaving the UK after closing the door on his journey with EastEnders.
The 23-year-old actor, best known to viewers for playing Freddie Slater in the hit BBC One soap, left the show last year after three years on screen.
Since stepping away from the spotlight, Bobby — the son of presenter Jeff Brazier and late Big Brother star Jade Goody — has kept a much lower profile while focusing more deeply on his spiritual life.
In a video shared on Instagram, Bobby unexpectedly revealed that he is preparing to move to America. When he was stopped by a model casting agent and asked whether he would be interested in a test shoot, he replied: “I’m actually moving to New York… well, New Jersey.”
Bobby said he would be in the US in July, but has not yet revealed the exact reason behind his decision to leave Britain.
Over the past year, the actor has been following a spiritual path, regularly sharing moments of prayer, chanting and dancing with the Hare Krishna community.
He also travelled to India, where he described the experience as “amazing” and said it helped him feel a sense of peace and devotion.
According to reports, Bobby has become a regular visitor at the Hare Krishna temple in Soho, where he is said to take part in activities seriously and consistently.
After facing many emotional challenges in his life, including the loss of his mother Jade Goody when he was just three years old, Bobby now appears to be searching for a calmer and more meaningful new direction.
From young EastEnders star to a spiritual journey overseas, Bobby Brazier’s decision to leave the UK has left fans wondering what the next chapter of his life will bring.
