Jesy Nelson has shared a touching glimpse into life with her twin daughters, Ocean and Story, as the family continues to face their ongoing health battle.
The former Little Mix star posted a sweet snap on Instagram showing herself giving the one-year-old girls physiotherapy in the park during the warm weather.
Ocean and Story were seen lying on their backs as Jesy gently helped them exercise, supporting their muscle strength as they live with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1, a rare muscle-wasting condition.
Jesy, 34, revealed earlier this year that her daughters had been diagnosed with SMA. Because the condition was discovered late, she has said doctors warned the girls may never walk and will need specialist support, including breathing equipment at night and feeding tubes.
Despite the devastating challenges, Jesy has remained determined to stay strong for her daughters.
Speaking previously on Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast, she described Ocean and Story as “the strongest, most resilient babies” and said she believes they can defy the odds.
The singer has also been open about the emotional toll of caring for the twins, admitting some days are incredibly difficult as they go through daily medical routines and treatment.
Jesy shares Ocean and Story with her ex-boyfriend Zion, and has said the experience has completely changed their lives.
Now, by sharing small moments like their park physiotherapy session, Jesy is continuing to raise awareness of SMA while showing the love, strength and hope at the heart of her family’s journey.
