Stacey Solomon has finally spoken out after weeks of speculation surrounding her marriage to Joe Swash — and her response is both honest and refreshingly down-to-earth.
The 36-year-old television personality, who married former EastEnders star Joe Swash, 44, in a romantic ceremony in 2022, has found herself at the centre of growing rumours about the state of their relationship.
Questions began after it was reported that the couple had not yet formally registered their marriage, despite celebrating their wedding almost four years ago. The speculation intensified when Stacey was later photographed wearing her engagement ring but not her wedding band, prompting fans to wonder whether all was well behind closed doors.
But the Loose Women star has now firmly dismissed talk of a split, insisting that she and Joe are simply like many other couples — deeply in love one minute, irritated by each other the next.
Speaking on the Sort Your Life Out Unpacked podcast, Stacey made it clear that outside speculation does not shake their relationship.
“Who cares if the whole world is like, ‘Oh, they’re on the brink of divorce?’” she said, explaining that being in the public eye can create pressure, but not when the rumours are untrue.
Stacey then offered a very candid glimpse into married life, admitting that her feelings toward Joe can swing between affection and frustration.
“Sometimes I fancy the pants off him and can’t wait to come home to see him,” she said.
But in true Stacey style, she also joked that there are moments when she wants space from him completely, adding that sometimes she feels like telling him to “get out of my stratosphere.”
For Stacey, that honesty does not signal trouble — it simply reflects the reality of a long-term relationship, especially one involving children, work, public attention and the pressures of everyday family life.
“I think we’re just like any other couple,” she added.
Stacey and Joe share three children together — Rex, seven, Rose, four, and Belle, two. Their blended family also includes Stacey’s older sons Zachary, 18, and Leighton, 13, as well as Joe’s son Harry, 18, from previous relationships.
The couple’s family life has long been a major part of Stacey’s public image, with fans following their journey at Pickle Cottage through social media and their BBC reality series Stacey & Joe.
However, recent months have brought renewed attention to their relationship. After reports emerged that their wedding had not yet been legally registered, a source claimed the couple had simply not got around to completing the paperwork amid the chaos of family life.
“They have six kids,” the source said, explaining that the period around their wedding was a whirlwind of babies, work and home life.
Stacey’s temporary absence from Instagram also fuelled further discussion. Earlier this month, she returned to the platform after taking time away, telling followers she had spent April “shutting off from the world” and enjoying slower moments with her children.
In the photos she shared, Stacey was seen spending time outdoors with the kids and baking chocolate cupcakes. Joe was noticeably absent from the update, which led some fans to ask more questions.
She captioned the post: “A slow April, in our little world… Missed coming on here and chatting to you all, but had a lovely April shutting off from the world & just being.”
Behind the scenes, reports also claimed that filming for the couple’s reality show had been paused after tensions at home made production difficult. Sources suggested there had been problems between Stacey and Joe, causing disruption to the shooting schedule.
Filming later resumed, with Stacey seen working on scenes for Stacey & Joe at Scotts Tulip Farm in Brentwood, near the couple’s £1.2million home.
The BBC has already confirmed that the show will return for a third series, continuing to follow the couple and their blended family as they navigate life at Pickle Cottage.
For now, Stacey appears determined not to let public speculation define her marriage. Her latest comments suggest that while her relationship with Joe may not always be perfect, it remains real, emotional and very human.
