In a tearful TikTok video, Dejon explained the toll the hate-filled comments and racist abuse have had on him over the past year. “I’ve been feeling this way for a long time,” he said, choking up. “The hate, the racist comments, the online bullying—it’s been going on for almost a year now.”
The emotional confession comes after Dejon confirmed earlier this week that his relationship with Love Island co-star Megan Moore had come to an end. While Megan made public comments criticizing Dejon following their breakup, he has now spoken out about the profound effect this ongoing harassment has had on him.
“I can smile in public, but I don’t want to leave my house,” he said, his voice breaking. “I don’t want to be here anymore.”
Dejon’s emotional plea has raised concerns about his well-being, and he emphasized how important it is to take care of one’s mental health. “I’m doing my best to try and get through it,” he said. “I will try to take walks, talk to people, try to get out of my head.”
