Katie Price Faces Criticism and Potential Investigation Over Controversial CBD Claims
Katie Price is facing renewed scrutiny after promoting a controversial CBD oil on social media, claiming it could “slow down” the growth of cancer cells. The former model and television personality, 47, has been an outspoken advocate for CBD products, but her recent promotional post could land her in hot water.

In her Instagram Story, Price shared a photo of a CBD product from Supreme CBD, offering a discount code for her followers. The caption boldly claimed, “CBD helps slow down the growth of cancer cells. A study on dogs published in the British Veterinary Association Journal has shown this.”

However, the claims were quickly criticized by social media users, many of whom pointed out that the research referenced was conducted on dogs, making it misleading to suggest the product could have similar effects in humans. One user commented, “You can’t market products for humans based on research done on dogs.”

The backlash comes as Katie Price has already been under investigation for previous claims related to dietary supplements. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has previously raised concerns about her promotion of CBD and other supplements, prompting further investigation by the Westminster Trading Standards.
Price, who has five children, is currently navigating a turbulent period, having just returned from Dubai after reuniting with her husband Lee Andrews. She also faces ongoing allegations of failing to pay for cosmetic surgery bills in the UAE.

Despite the controversy, Katie has maintained her support for CBD, having previously backed claims made by Olympic boxer Anthony Fowler that CBD products had “cured” a child’s tumor.
The ongoing backlash and potential investigation highlight the growing concern around unverified health claims in celebrity endorsements, with Price at the center of it all once again.
