Camilla Kerslake Reveals Shocking Aftereffects of Skin Laser Treatment: “The Pain and Swelling Were Unbelievable”
Camilla Kerslake, wife of rugby star Chris Robshaw, has shared a raw and honest update on the aftermath of a recent C02 laser resurfacing treatment, leaving her in pain, swollen, and struggling to eat.
The 37-year-old classical singer, who is no stranger to the world of aesthetics, documented her recovery on Instagram, showing her swollen, red face just 48 hours after the procedure. The treatment, which is known for addressing deep wrinkles, sun damage, and acne scarring, creates “micro injuries” across the skin to encourage healing. While it is popular among many celebrities, including Olivia Attwood, Camilla wasn’t prepared for the intensity of the recovery.
“I was not prepared for this level of pain and swelling,” she admitted, revealing how even simple tasks like opening her mouth were difficult. As part of her recovery process, she has been using an oxygen mask to help with healing.
While the swelling has started to subside, Camilla admitted that it’s been a challenging experience: “The good news is that the pain is pretty much gone, it’s now just really, really tight. It’s also a lot less red, but the swelling—honestly, when I woke up this morning and tried to open my eyes, I was like, ‘Oh god, they won’t even open.'”
Despite the difficulties, Camilla maintained a positive outlook, even joking with fans: “If I don’t laugh, I’ll cry. Look at my face!”
While this recovery has been far from glamorous, Camilla’s openness about the intense side effects of such treatments is a reminder that beauty often comes with its own price. Fans are hoping for a swift recovery as Camilla continues to trust the process.
