Janai Norman has broken her silence on her unexpected exit from Good Morning America (GMA) after the network made the difficult decision not to renew her contract.

In an emotional Instagram video shared on Friday evening, Janai reflected on her time at GMA and expressed how heartbreaking it has been for her to leave the show without the chance for closure. 😢

“I really thought we had more time,” Janai confessed. “It’s been hard for me, being cut short like this. I have loved every minute of this job.”

Janai, who spent four incredible years with the morning show, ended her time as a news anchor on GMA Weekend. During her heartfelt message, she continued, “It’s been such a joy connecting with my coworkers, with all of you, and being part of your mornings. And honestly, it breaks my heart that I don’t get to say goodbye. I wish I could have done that.”
