Strictly Come Dancing is preparing for a major shake-up as the show welcomes five new professional dancers, including Ukrainian talent Kateryna Klishyna, who insiders are already dubbing “the new Nadiya Bychkova.”
The 29-year-old dancer, with experience on Dancing With The Stars in America and So You Think You Can Dance in Ukraine, reportedly wowed producers during auditions. “Bosses love Kateryna,” a source told The Sun. “Many see her as Nadiya’s replacement — they look so similar.” BBC representatives declined to comment.
Nadiya Bychkova was one of several professionals axed this year, alongside Karen Hauer, Michelle Tsiakkas, Luba Mushtuk, and Gorka Marquez. After nine years on the show, Nadiya expressed gratitude to fans on Instagram, reflecting on her journey and vowing to stay connected to the Strictly world in new ways. Tess Daly was among those publicly sending heartfelt messages, calling her “beautiful inside and out.”
The BBC praised Nadiya’s dedication, artistry, and mentorship, highlighting her as a cornerstone of the show for nearly a decade. “A consummate professional, Nadiya embodies the very best of what Strictly stands for,” a statement read.
Returning stars for 2026 include Dianne Buswell, Amy Dowden, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Alexis Warr, Vito Coppola, and others. Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and Shirley Ballas will also be back to bring their signature expertise to the ballroom.
As Strictly revamps its line-up, fans can expect fresh energy, new talent, and dramatic routines that will shake up the dance floor while paying tribute to the professionals who made the show a cultural phenomenon.
