Ryan Thomas has revealed the last text message he received from his close friend Jake Hall before the TOWIE star tragically passed away at the age of 35.
Jake was found dead at a Mallorca villa after reportedly colliding with a glass door. His body was discovered in a pool of blood with severe injuries, and chest trauma is suspected to be the cause of death. As tributes poured in for the TV star, Ryan, who shared a deep bond with Jake, posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, remembering their friendship and the final words Jake sent him.
A Final Message of Love:
In his tribute, Ryan shared the text Jake sent him just a week before his passing: “I love you mate. More than you’ll ever know.” Ryan wrote, “You wrote this in a message to me just last week, so I’m sending the same one back to you.”
Ryan reflected on their friendship, recalling the first time they met. “The moment I met Jake, I was in awe of him. I found myself gravitating towards him,” Ryan said. “He was always the coolest guy in the room, with class, charisma, and a unique magic that nobody else had. Anyone who met him, even just once, remembered him forever.”
Ryan continued to praise Jake’s talent and the impact he had on others, especially through his music, fashion, and art. “Everything he touched felt effortless, but it was truly genius.”
A Friendship Built on Shared Values:
Ryan also opened up about their deep friendship, which took time to develop but became unshakable once they connected. “The deep chats, the hysterical laughs, even the petty fallouts—we shared it all,” Ryan wrote. “We had the same morals, the same family values, and the same outlook on life: we genuinely wanted people around us to win.”
Ryan fondly recalled how Jake always spoke with love for his family, especially his dad, mum, and little brother. “For all the people that admired his talent, what mattered most to him was always his family. He idolised his dad, adored his mum, and loved his little brother more than words could ever explain.”

As Ryan paid tribute to his friend, he also made a promise to Jake’s daughter, River, who was just eight years old. “His next chapter is written in the stars now, and it’s all about River. I promise she’ll grow up surrounded by love and stories about how inspiring and powerful her daddy was.”

Jake’s brother, Love Island star Scott Thomas, shared his own tribute, expressing his regret at not having more chances to connect with Jake. “I wish I got that chance because this guy had something that can’t be taught. An energy and magnetism like no other… whatever it was, he had it.”
