The former Take That star explained how the accident happened: “I brushed my teeth last night and as I walked back to bed, I noticed something different in my mouth—a new nook. At first, it felt cool, but then I smiled at Ayda, and I saw her sharp intake of breath,” Robbie shared on Instagram. “It was then that I realized—half my tooth was missing.”
While Robbie laughed at the situation, Ayda wasted no time in lightening the mood. She joked, “You look like Dumb and Dumber.” Robbie couldn’t help but agree, “Fair enough. I guess I do.”
The problem? Robbie’s dentist is thousands of miles away in Los Angeles, and the superstar is currently in Miami, with an upcoming string of shows on his schedule. “Do I need to fly five hours to fix it? Or is this my new look now?” he humorously pondered, before asking fans, “Should I just black it out like I did at ’95 Glastonbury?”
This is far from Robbie’s first run-in with health issues. The star previously revealed he had been diagnosed with scurvy after turning to an appetite-suppressant drug to lose weight. “I wasn’t eating enough nutrients,” he explained. “I even got scurvy—like some 17th-century pirate disease.”
While sharing his struggles with body dysmorphia and depression, Robbie noted, “When people say you’re too thin, I think ‘jackpot.’” He also confessed that depression recently returned after a decade of stability, adding, “It was confusing, but thankfully, that dark cloud has now lifted.”
