Professor Green faced a terrifying moment on holiday after his five-year-old son, Slimane, suffered a nasty accident that sent him straight to hospital. The English rapper, real name Stephen Manderson, shares Slimane with ex-partner Karima McAdams.
Taking to Instagram Stories, both parents revealed the shocking events of the May half-term holiday. Stephen shared a hospital snap of Slimane, writing: “first tooth lost, first arm fractured…happy holidays” alongside a picture of his son on a hospital bed, comforted by Karima. He also joked about the dark stains on Slimane’s socks, adding: “state of his socks.”
Karima shared another snap of the family moment, explaining the ordeal: “He lost his front tooth yesterday trying to kiss everyone and got headbutted out. Today for breakfast he fell off a zipwire with a suspected wrist fracture. A&E on holiday is an absolute classic. @professorgreen never a dull moment, ay?”
The incident highlighted the couple’s strong co-parenting relationship following their split in 2023 after seven years together. Stephen admitted during his appearance on the latest series of Celebs Go Dating that navigating co-parenting has been emotionally challenging.
“Now that we’re co-parenting… I never had a kid to not wake up to him. My dad ran. I’m not running. It’s so hard to put your feelings to the side and prioritise my kid’s well-being,” Stephen said. “I can’t show him how upset I am all the time. It’s so important that he sees a good example… you have to lead by example. It’s not easy.”
Despite the holiday accident and emotional struggles, the rapper and Karima’s focus remains firmly on Slimane’s health and happiness, proving that even amidst chaos, co-parenting with love is possible.
