Pop star and actress Pixie Lott is known for her hard work and dedication to her career, and despite the challenges that come with motherhood, she’s proven she’s not slowing down. Just two months after a Caesarean section, Pixie was back on stage, dazzling audiences in a figure-hugging sparkly dress and belting out songs for her headline show.
Pixie, 35, who has a two-year-old son, Bertie, and a six-month-old boy with husband Oliver Cheshire, explains how she managed to juggle her career and motherhood by making her work a family affair. She credits her parents, Beverley and Stephen, for being a massive support system as they accompany her to every gig. “I don’t have any help other than my mum and dad,” she says. “My parents come with me to everything, and there’s no way I’d be able to do it if they weren’t there.”
Pixie describes the chaos backstage, balancing Bertie running around and dealing with baby issues while still getting ready for the show. “Nobody sees how crazy it is backstage,” she laughs. “But it’s memory-making, and inspiring for the kids to meet so many different people.”
Despite the hectic backstage life, Pixie remains focused on her career and family. She shares that being surrounded by her family has been key to navigating the demands of fame while keeping things balanced at home. “It’s been great having them with me,” she adds.
Career and Inspirations
Pixie has always had a strong support system from her family. Raised in London and Essex, she entered the music industry at a young age and achieved success early with her debut album Turn It Up, which featured two No. 1 singles. Over the years, Pixie has continued to shine in both music and acting, including her time as a coach on The Voice Kids, starring in Strictly Come Dancing, and even opening her own performing arts academy, The Pixie Lott Performing Arts Academy, run by her mother.
Pixie is also quick to name her inspirations, particularly Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who has successfully balanced her music career with raising five children. “I’d love to,” Pixie smiles when discussing the prospect of more children. “I know it all feels crazy now. Why not just make it even crazier? Sophie’s inspirational; she’s got five kids and is killing it.”

Life as a New Mum and Acting Projects
While Pixie is known for her high-energy performances on stage, she’s also made waves in acting, including her role in the movie Past Life. Despite being pregnant at the time of filming, Pixie took on the role of Claira, a pregnant wife in the thriller. “It was strange to be playing a pregnant person while actually having a bump underneath it,” she smiles, revealing that her pregnancy made the role feel even more authentic.
Though her focus remains on music, Pixie is open to more acting projects, particularly those that challenge expectations. “I’d like to do more acting because it’s not what people expect from me,” she says. “It’s different to bouncing around on stage, and I’m always drawn to strong women in scripts.”
As she prepares for a summer full of festivals and music releases, Pixie’s dedication to both her family and career shines through. “My main focus now is going to be releasing the music I wrote before I had my second child, and then a summer of festivals again,” she says. Bertie, she admits, is particularly excited for the festivals. “We’ve just got to hide the sweets!”
With plans for more babies and more projects on the horizon, Pixie Lott is a star that keeps going no matter the challenges, and her fans can’t wait to see what she does next.
