Peter Andre Opens Up About His Pain at Using Traditional Medicine After a Panic Attack: ‘I Didn’t Dare Get Botox or Use Medications’

Peter Andre Opens Up About His Health Struggles: Panic Disorder Leads to Fear of Medicine

Peter Andre, 53, has shared how a previous health diagnosis has led to a new set of fears. While the musician appears to be in peak physical shape, he admits he can no longer undergo cosmetic procedures like Botox or fat injections. Despite not wanting to pursue these treatments at the moment, Peter says it’s physically impossible for him due to his health condition.Peter Andre

This comes after Peter was diagnosed with a panic disorder years ago, following a period of intense anxiety and panic attacks. The Mysterious Girl singer revealed that his battle with anxiety has now developed into a fear of taking any medicine.

Peter explained that for the past three years, he has avoided taking even basic medications like paracetamol, and has had to stop Botox treatments due to this fear. “I have a fear of taking medicine, of putting something in my body that I can’t get out,” he shared. “That includes injections. I haven’t had Botox in about four years, I can’t have flu jabs, and I will never, ever have filler. Even when I get a headache now, I cannot take paracetamol.”Junior Andre, Princess Andre and Peter Andre

His wife, Emily, a doctor, has suggested that Peter may benefit from exposure therapy to help him overcome his fears, but he admitted that it’s a challenge for him. “She thinks I just need exposure therapy and to get on with it, basically,” he added.

Peter and Emily, 36, have three children together — Millie, 12, Theo, 9, and Belle, who is 23 months old. Peter also has two children, Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, from his previous marriage to Katie Price.

In addition to Peter’s health concerns, his wife Emily has also been dealing with her own health challenges. Emily recently opened up about being diagnosed with shingles, a condition commonly associated with older individuals, but which can affect anyone. In a video on Instagram, Emily shared her experience, explaining that she wanted to educate others about the condition from a medical perspective.Peter Andre reveals heartbreaking news about his mum's health saying 'I am finding it hard to deal with'

Peter expressed his admiration for how Emily handled her diagnosis. “It was great that Emily spoke out about her shingles diagnosis — she wants to help others understand it from a medical point of view,” he wrote in his magazine column. “She didn’t make a fuss, even though it was very painful for her. I think she’s through the worst now, thank goodness.”

As both Peter and Emily continue to navigate their health issues, their openness serves as a reminder of the importance of addressing mental and physical well-being.
