Nikki Sanderson, 42, Becomes a First-Time Mum as She Welcomes Baby Boy with Partner Anthony Quinlan
Nikki Sanderson, the beloved Coronation Street star, has announced the birth of her first child, a baby boy, with her partner Anthony Quinlan. The 42-year-old actress shared the joyous news on Instagram, revealing that their son arrived a few days earlier than expected, just ahead of his due date.
The proud parents have yet to reveal the baby’s name, but Nikki shared a heartwarming post with a photo of their newborn son in his crib, captioning it: “Happy due date little man. You blessed our lives a few days earlier than expected and filled our world with so much joy. Daddy and Mummy love you so much, Son.”

Nikki had previously opened up about her feelings leading up to the birth, revealing that she and Anthony had no preference about the baby’s gender as long as their child was healthy. “We were just over the moon,” she said. “But subconsciously, I always felt like I was going to be a boy mum.”
The couple, who have been together since 2022, have shared their happiness and excitement throughout Nikki’s pregnancy. “Anthony’s thrilled because he’s going to have a mini Manchester United sidekick!” Nikki added in an interview with Closer.
Throughout her pregnancy, Nikki experienced cravings for sweet food, bouts of morning sickness, and a “pregnancy glow.” Reflecting on their pregnancy journey, Nikki told The Mirror, “We’re happy to say it’s going to be a lovely little spring baby.”
Anthony, who is also an actor and now runs an online PT and supplements business, expressed his joy about becoming a father. “I can’t wait till we’re a little team of three. I want to shout it from the rooftops!” he said.
The pair’s relationship blossomed in 2022, with Anthony openly declaring his happiness in their partnership. “I’ve always fancied her. She’s mega hot, right?” he admitted in a 2022 interview. “We’ve known each other for years… There were rumours we met at the gym, which we had a bit of a laugh about. I slid into the DMs and that was it. I was lucky enough to get a date and the rest is history.”
