Molly-Mae Hague has spoken out in defense of the sheer black outfit she wore to Venezuela Fury’s wedding after it sparked some negative comments online. The 27-year-old influencer admitted she “didn’t think much about how she would look” as she is heavily pregnant.
Despite this, Molly-Mae made sure to attend to support her fiancé’s family, bringing along her three-year-old daughter Bambi to the Isle of Man for the celebration. She described herself as “just Bambi’s chaperone” and said she “didn’t care” about her appearance because the day was about the bride.
Bambi was chosen as one of 18 bridesmaids, and Molly-Mae called the experience her daughter’s “dream day.” She also revealed she didn’t realize wearing black to a wedding was frowned upon: “I didn’t know black wasn’t acceptable; I thought it was just a more serious color.”
In a new YouTube vlog, Molly-Mae explained she had considered her outfit and hair: “I had the jumpsuit tailored and styled my hair in a beautiful bun, but ended up fixing it myself.” However, she admitted being surprised by some online reactions: “I was just focused on the wedding and Bambi’s enjoyment, not how I looked.”
While Molly-Mae attended the ceremony, her fiancé Tommy skipped it due to boxing training for his upcoming fight with Eddie Hall on June 13 at Manchester’s AO Arena. Some of Tommy’s family reportedly disapproved of his repeated absences.
Tommy’s sister-in-law Paris praised Molly-Mae’s effort: “She is incredible, bringing Bambi over to be a bridesmaid while heavily pregnant. I wouldn’t have managed that myself at this stage of pregnancy.”
After the wedding, Molly-Mae shared adorable snaps on Instagram of Bambi with the bride, Venezuela, and the six-tiered blue wedding cake decorated with cascading yellow and blue flowers. She and her daughter left quickly on a private jet before 6 p.m., skipping the evening celebrations.
Once again, Molly-Mae Hague showed that despite online criticism, family and her daughter’s experience remain her top priority.
