Lottie Moss Opens Up About Returning to Weight-Loss Injections Despite Health Scare
Model Lottie Moss has revealed she has returned to using fat-burning injections, despite a previous terrifying experience that saw her hospitalized after suffering a seizure. The 28-year-old, who is the younger half-sister of supermodel Kate Moss, confessed she had previously tried both Ozempic and Mounjaro but discontinued their use due to their prohibitive cost and an alarming health scare.
In an emotional interview, Moss spoke candidly about her ongoing struggles with weight and body image, explaining that the pressure she faces as a model has intensified her concerns. Despite her previous adverse reaction to the injections, she has chosen to return to the method in an attempt to manage her weight, though not without acknowledging the risks.
“I’ve been using Ozempic for a while, and I tried Mounjaro as well, but I stopped because it was too expensive. I’m not going to spend £300 a month on that nonsense,” Moss said. “But after stopping, I put weight back on.”
She described the terrifying moment she had a seizure after using Ozempic, stating, “I felt like I was about to die – I’d never had a seizure before.” Moss admitted that the experience was enough to send her to the hospital but said the challenges of weight management continue to weigh on her mind. “Weight has always been something I’ve struggled with. I wake up in the morning, and that’s the first thing I think about,” she confessed.
As a model, Moss explained that the pressure to maintain a specific body type is immense. “I look in the mirror and ask myself, ‘How do I look today?’ It’s always a major issue for me, especially in the modeling industry, so just feeling comfortable with my weight and myself – I know I don’t have an unhealthy figure – it’s something I personally want to improve.”
