🏈 Kylie Kelce has revealed the very sensible reason her four daughters have never watched their famous uncle Travis Kelce play an NFL game in person — and parents everywhere will understand.
The wife of retired Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce says her girls are huge supporters of “Uncle Trav,” but so far, their cheering has mostly happened from home rather than inside a stadium.
Kylie, who shares daughters Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett and baby Finnley with Jason, explained that the issue is not a lack of love for Travis or the Kansas City Chiefs.
It is much simpler than that.
Late-night football and young children do not mix.
💤 Speaking to PEOPLE, Kylie said the family have had opportunities to go and support Travis in Kansas City, but many of those games have been on Monday nights.
For adults, a prime-time NFL game can be exciting.
For children aged five, four, two and a few months old, an 8 p.m. kickoff is a recipe for chaos.
Kylie admitted that kind of schedule is not realistic for little girls who need rest, routine and a proper bedtime.
She joked that the family are not “tagging in” for those late games, but said she hopes they may finally make it to a more child-friendly Sunday afternoon matchup.
🌟 The Kelce daughters may not have watched Travis live from the stands yet, but they are far from strangers to supporting him.
The girls have grown up hearing about football, watching games on television and recognising their uncle in his red Chiefs uniform.
Kylie said the whole family is excited to keep cheering Travis on as he heads into another NFL season.
And while her own days as an NFL wife on the sidelines are over following Jason’s retirement, she still has a close family reason to stay emotionally invested in the league.
Travis gives the Kelce family someone to root for every week.
❤️ Kylie also explained that watching Travis play brings a different kind of excitement compared to watching Jason during his Eagles career.
Jason played center, a physically brutal and technical position in the trenches. Kylie said she used to watch him closely because of the nature of his role.
Travis, as a tight end, plays in a more open and fluid position, which makes the game feel different for the girls and the family watching from home.
There are routes, catches, touchdowns and big moments that are easier for young children to spot and celebrate.
For Kylie, that adds another level of fun.
👧 She said the family are “so excited” to cheer Travis on and know how hard he is working.
That support means even more because Travis remains one of the closest people to the family still playing in the NFL.
Jason and Kylie may have friends who still compete in the league, but Travis is family.
And for the Kelce girls, he is not just a superstar athlete.
He is Uncle Trav.
💛 Travis has often spoken warmly about his nieces, and Jason has praised him as an “outstanding uncle.”
The Chiefs star has joked that he loves spending time with the girls, having fun with them and then handing them back to their parents.
It is classic uncle behaviour — all the joy, all the play, and none of the full-time bedtime responsibility.
Donna Kelce has also previously said Travis is great with children and that Jason’s daughters adore him.
That bond has become one of the sweetest parts of the Kelce family story.
🌈 Kylie’s latest comments also came as she continued her work supporting girls’ confidence in sport.
She has teamed up with Dove to promote body confidence and encourage young girls to stay active, feel supported and believe they belong in sport.
Kylie is helping introduce a short film called Fans of Confidence, which highlights professional athletes from Gotham FC cheering on girls in youth programmes.
The message is simple but powerful: girls need to feel seen, encouraged and celebrated.
For Kylie, who is raising four daughters, that mission is deeply personal.
⚽ She said she is excited for the generation of girls her daughters are growing up in — one where both male and female athletes are part of the conversation.
That matters.
In the Kelce household, sport is not only about the men in the family. It is also about opportunity, confidence and helping young girls believe their bodies are strong, capable and worth celebrating.
Kylie said it is important for girls to have support from peers, coaches and role models who help them stay confident and stay in the game.
That message fits perfectly with how she approaches motherhood: practical, grounded and focused on what is best for her children.
🏟️ And that is exactly why she has not rushed the girls into a late-night Chiefs game.
As exciting as it would be to see Travis play live, Kylie knows that young children need structure. A stadium full of noise, travel and a late kickoff may sound fun in theory, but in real life, it can be overwhelming.
So for now, the girls will keep cheering from home.
But if the right 1 p.m. Sunday game appears, Uncle Trav may finally get his littlest fans in the stands.
And when that happens, it will be a major Kelce family moment.
💫 Until then, Kylie, Jason and their daughters will continue supporting Travis the way many families do: from the sofa, in front of the TV, probably with plenty of shouting, snacks and tiny Chiefs fans recognising their uncle’s “red team.”
It may not be the stadium experience yet.
But for Travis Kelce, knowing his nieces are cheering him on from home may be just as special.
