Britain’s Got Talent judge KSI was left visibly shaken and in tears during the fourth semi-final of the ITV show, following an emotional performance that struck a deeply personal chord.
Poet Sonny Green took to the stage to share a heartfelt poem about his relationship with his young sons, joined unexpectedly by them at the end. He told them: “You ain’t ever too old to get a cuddle from your dad. And I’ll never be too old to get a cuddle of my sons.”
The touching words resonated deeply with KSI, who admitted he had been reflecting on his own relationship with his father. A single tear rolled down his cheek as the audience gave Sonny a standing ovation, while fellow judges Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden were also seen wiping away tears.
“It really hit me,” KSI confessed. “I know my relationship with my dad isn’t the best, so hearing those words makes me think about what I need to improve on. I need to do better as a son. It just really hit me, amazing.”
Simon Cowell, despite his reputation as a harsh judge, was visibly moved and pressed the Golden Buzzer, sending Sonny straight through to the final. Fans quickly flooded social media with praise, sharing their own emotional reactions: “I’ve never seen KSI cry on BGT before. That was very moving.”
Sonny’s performance not only brought tears to the judges’ eyes but also reminded viewers of the power of love, family, and the unspoken bonds that shape us.
