Kerry Katona, 45, has bravely opened up about the heart-wrenching experiences of having two miscarriages while dating her boyfriend, Paolo Margaglione, 33, after unexpectedly falling pregnant while filming Celebs Go Dating. During a candid interview on Paul C Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast, the singer discussed how she and Paolo, who met on the show in 2025, discovered her pregnancy.

However, after doing another test early the next morning, she was shocked to discover she was pregnant. “I ran and woke him up,” she shared.

Tragically, Kerry suffered a miscarriage soon after, and later miscarried again at four weeks. She admitted, “I didn’t realise how much I wanted it then.” The singer, who is a mother of five, opened up about the emotional toll this took on her, sharing how deeply affected she was by these losses.

Kerry also revealed that her previous miscarriage, which occurred after a brief relationship with a man in 2015 following the death of her ex-husband George Kay, had been particularly difficult. In her memoir, Kerry Katona: Whole Again, she described how the miscarriage was followed by an operation to remove the foetus that remained in her womb.

She described how she felt unloved and unsupported, revealing that the emotional toll had even caused her hair to fall out.

Additionally, Kerry talked about a recent health scare when she was diagnosed with colitis, an illness she had never heard of before. She described the intense pain that led her to call an ambulance and undergo a CT scan. “It was horrendous, I thought I was in labour,” she explained. “But I’ve had no problems since.”

She explained that her youngest son’s school closing down earlier this year had prompted the move forward. “It’s a lot trying to juggle and make sure everyone’s happy,” she said, adding that if her older children want to join her, they are welcome.

Despite the emotional and physical challenges Kerry has faced, she has shown remarkable strength in sharing her story and moving forward with her life alongside Paolo and her children.
