Kelly Osbourne and Sid Wilson Call Off Engagement Just Months After Glamorous Proposal
Kelly Osbourne is facing a difficult time in her personal life following the end of her engagement to Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson. The couple, who share a three-year-old son, Sidney, have quietly split just seven months after Sid’s extravagant proposal, which featured a £500,000 diamond ring.
The proposal took place last July during her late father Ozzy Osbourne’s final Black Sabbath concert in Birmingham, a moment Kelly described as a complete surprise. The engagement ring, designed by luxury jeweller Mouawad, featured a beehive-inspired design in 18K yellow gold with white and yellow diamonds, along with citrine accents—a tribute to Kelly’s late friend Joan Rivers.
Sources close to the family reveal that Kelly has been struggling to cope with the loss of her father while also managing the pressures of maintaining her relationship. “They tried to make it work for the sake of their child, but ultimately decided that separating is the best path forward,” an insider shared.
Kelly, who was last seen wearing the engagement ring at a pre-Grammys event in late January, has since been spotted without it. Instead, she wore a gold “Dad” ring in tribute to Ozzy at the BRIT Awards.
Since the breakup, Kelly has turned her focus toward her son and personal well-being. She has been prioritizing her sobriety and taking time for self-care. Recently, she appeared in an Omaze commercial with her mother, Sharon Osbourne, and attended the West End afterparty for Lily Allen’s West End Girl, showing a more relaxed and carefree side.
In the wake of the split, Kelly has also shared her emotional struggles on social media, expressing the pain of feeling “kicked while I’m down” and the cruelty of judgment during vulnerable moments.
The couple’s relationship, which began during a Slipknot tour with Ozzfest, had been full of ups and downs, but their love for each other was evident. Despite the end of their engagement, Kelly is determined to focus on motherhood, friendship, and honoring her father’s legacy as she moves forward.
