Kayleigh McEnany, the Fox News host and former White House Press Secretary, has ignited a fierce debate after sharing a video of her homemade lunch on social media. The 37-year-old commentator posted the video on X (formerly Twitter), where she proudly displayed her creation—an unconventional “Southwestern” meal.
In the video, McEnany lifts the lid off her food container, excitedly explaining how she combined two meals: beef with peppers and rice, and chicken with broccoli, adding that “it wouldn’t be great without sriracha sauce.” She also topped it off with some Sargento cheese and happily declared, “I’m ready to eat! Cooking with Kayleigh!”
However, her enthusiastic post quickly sparked a wave of mixed reactions, with some viewers praising her cooking skills, while others were less impressed.

Critics Call for McEnany to ‘Stick to Her Day Job’
While McEnany was clearly excited to share her lunch, not everyone was impressed with her culinary efforts. Many took to the comments to express their doubts about the meal and, in some cases, questioned her kitchen abilities. One user wrote, “I now understand why Kayleigh’s husband does most of the cooking,” while another sarcastically commented, “Holy s**t! Guess what? Millions of people in America cook their own meals! Does she want an award?”
Other critics couldn’t resist poking fun at McEnany’s appearance, with one person commenting, “Never trust a skinny chef… Including Kayleigh.” Another remarked, “Looks ‘interesting’,” while yet another added, “Being served that kind of food works better than Ozempic.”
Supporters Applaud McEnany’s Cooking Skills

Despite the criticism, McEnany also received an outpouring of support from her fans. Many praised her for her cooking skills and creativity in the kitchen. One fan cheered, “Is there anything this woman can’t do? Looks very tasty!” Another added, “I’m really impressed! Kayleigh can actually cook… wow!”

McEnany’s shared meal prep isn’t the first time she’s opened up about her kitchen endeavors. Just last week, she shared a video of herself microwaving some frozen macaroni and cheese, noting that fans had previously pointed out that she shouldn’t heat it with the plastic still on. “I thought I was boring,” she joked.
A Glimpse Into McEnany’s Personal Life

Kayleigh McEnany, who often shares snippets of her personal life with her followers, continues to engage with her audience both on and off-air. In addition to her role as the host of Saturday in America, McEnany and her husband, Sean Patrick Gilmartin, a retired MLB pitcher, are expecting their third child. The couple already has two children, Blake (6) and Nash (3).
Though her lunch video sparked a whirlwind of opinions, it’s clear McEnany has no intention of slowing down, whether in the kitchen or in her professional life.
