Katie shocked fans when she married so-called businessman Lee in Dubai in January within 10 days of meeting himKatie, 47, shocked fans when she announced her engagement to Lee, 41, after just 10 days of dating in January. The engagement was revealed in a family WhatsApp group message, leaving her loved ones blindsided. Katie, who famously shared the news with her followers on social media, didn’t waste any time marrying Lee in a whirlwind ceremony in Dubai.

Sophie told Katie her decision had 'traumatised us all' and admitted that the last time they had tried to record the podcast, they had fallen out over it and Katie had hung up on her sisterBut her family’s reaction has been far from supportive. Sophie, 36, who co-hosts the Happy Place podcast with Katie, expressed her concern and anger, saying, “I’ve had a s*** start to the year caused by you. You’ve been a pain in the f*ing ae.” She also admitted that their attempt to record the podcast previously had ended in a fallout, with Katie hanging up on her sister.

Katie revealed on the podcast that her mother, who has been struggling with her health following a lung transplant in 2022, was visibly upset during a hospital visit. “I went and saw her in the hospital. I gave her a big cuddle, I’m like, ‘Come here Mum, you need a daughter hug. I love you,’ and she was crying,” Katie said, showing the emotional toll the situation had taken on her mother.

Katie spoke about her mother's ongoing challenges on a recent episode of The Katie Price Show, which she hosts alongside her sister Sophie  (left)However, Sophie didn’t hold back, telling Katie, “You’ve traumatised us all. Again.” Katie, though, brushed off her sister’s anger, responding, “Oh, I traumatise f**king everyone but listen…”

Katie’s engagement and subsequent marriage to Lee have sparked concern within the family, with Sophie, and other family members, expressing worries about Lee’s past and the rapid pace of their relationship. Despite accusations from Lee’s ex-partners and claims that his financial and business acumen have been exaggerated, Katie remains adamant that he is the real deal. “I’m not a kid anymore, I am 47, I can make my own choices, and I will,” Katie explained, asserting that her family must respect her decisions.

Katie also acknowledged that her family’s concerns were rooted in love and past experiences. “Of course my family are going to worry, I wouldn’t expect anything different. They love me, and they’ve seen me go through so much heartache and the most horrific times,” Katie said. “But I’m not a kid anymore. They have to give me that chance to go and find out for myself.”

Despite her family’s concerns, Katie is resolute in her belief that she is making the right choice. “My life isn’t normal, so they have to let me be me,” she said, brushing off any further doubts about her marriage to Lee.

Katie’s five children, including her eldest children Princess, 18, and Junior, 20, have yet to meet Lee, but they’ve expressed that they want Katie to be happy. “We’re happy as long as she’s happy,” Princess and Junior said on This Morning last month.

Katie’s whirlwind marriage to Lee and the fallout with her family continue to play out in the public eye, leaving fans wondering if this is yet another chapter in Katie’s tumultuous love life or if this relationship will bring her the happiness she has long been searching for. 💔
