Katie Price has found herself at the centre of one of her most dramatic relationship sagas yet after revealing she was told to pay £140,000 if she wanted to get her husband Lee Andrews out of prison in Dubai.
The 48-year-old TV star flew to Dubai after learning that Lee, 43, had been detained at Al Awir Central Prison over fraud allegations. At first, Katie believed she only needed to pay around £6,500 to secure his release.
However, when she arrived at court with her credit card ready, she was reportedly told the real amount was £140,000, because Lee was also involved in another case awaiting a court date, allegedly linked to property.
Katie insisted the situation was completely real and not a publicity stunt. She admitted that many people had been calling her “stupid,” but strongly hit back, saying: “I am not stupid.”
Although she initially wanted to help Lee, Katie now appears to recognise that paying such a huge amount would be a reckless decision. She has also met some of Lee’s former partners in Dubai, including Dina Taji, who reportedly warned her face-to-face about his past.
After the meeting, Katie admitted: “My eyes have been opened. I just need some time to think.” However, she said she still cannot end things until she has heard Lee’s side directly.
Despite signs that the marriage may be falling apart, Katie later surprised fans by posting a picture of herself wearing her wedding ring and publicly declaring that she still loves Lee.
Fans are now divided, with some urging Katie to walk away, while others believe she is caught between love, loyalty and an increasingly complicated scandal.
