Katie Price has reunited with her husband Lee Andrews following his release from a notorious Dubai prison, embracing him in an emotional display after more than a month of uncertainty.
New photographs show the former glamour model jumping into Lee’s arms on Sunday evening, two days after he reportedly left Al Awir Central Prison.
Katie had flown back to Dubai over the weekend to see her husband after weeks of conflicting reports about his whereabouts, detention and the circumstances surrounding his imprisonment.
The married couple hugged tightly and exchanged kisses before heading to Vox Dubai, an outdoor rooftop cinema, to watch a World Cup football match.
Despite previously admitting that she had serious questions for Lee, Katie appeared delighted to be reunited with him.
She smiled broadly while holding his hand and packing on the public displays of affection during their first date night since his release.
Katie dressed casually in denim shorts and a pink shirt, while Lee wore jeans and a baseball cap.
The couple appeared unable to take their eyes off each other as they waited in line at the cinema, seemingly putting weeks of tension behind them.
Their affectionate reunion came as Lee publicly denied reports that fraud allegations were responsible for his detention.
In a series of Instagram videos posted after his release, Lee claimed that he had initially been seized at gunpoint near the Qatar border because authorities suspected him of espionage.
He alleged that armed men took him to what he described as a “black site”, where he was held without access to his phone or contact with his family.
Lee said: “I was taken at the Qatar border by the men, at gunpoint, and was captured by men with assault rifles.”
He also claimed the men “slapped” him before taking him to a state security facility.
According to Lee, regional tensions and his location near the border led authorities to suspect that he was involved in spying.
He maintained that he was held without access to a shower, his relatives, the British embassy or his wife.
Lee alleged that Katie’s efforts, together with contact involving British authorities, helped secure his release from the security facility.
“Without her help involving all the UK authorities, I don’t think I would have got out of that situation,” he said.
Lee thanked Katie for creating enough public attention to make the authorities listen and release him.
The supplied report did not include independent confirmation from UAE or UK authorities supporting his account of being detained on suspicion of espionage.
Lee said that after leaving the security facility, he entered Dubai’s prison system because of what he described as a separate civil case.
He claimed that the civil matter resulted in him being held in a mainstream prison during the Eid holiday period.
“At no point have I faced anything to do with fraud allegations or criminal activities,” he insisted.
Lee said he was eventually able to secure his release and thanked those who had sent him supportive messages.
Katie appeared to accept her husband’s explanation.
She shared his video on Instagram and wrote: “My husband is back. I love you.”
She also posted a separate message celebrating his return, making it clear that she currently intends to stand by him despite the continuing controversy.
Reports had previously claimed that Lee was sent to Al Awir prison in May over allegations involving financial disputes.
It was also reported that Katie had been told a substantial payment would be necessary to obtain his release.
Katie initially travelled to Dubai believing that approximately £6,500 might resolve the matter, according to the report.
However, after arriving at the courthouse with her credit card, she was allegedly told that the required figure was £140,000 because another property-related case was awaiting a court date.
Katie refused to pay the larger sum, describing such a decision as reckless.
She has repeatedly stated that she will not hand money to Lee or financially support a man again.
“I’ve made it clear to Lee, I will never give him money,” she said.
“I’ll never give a man money. I’ve done it all my life. I’ve always been the breadwinner.”
Katie explained that her previous divorces had repeatedly left her responsible for paying significant sums and insisted she would not repeat that pattern.
She also said she did not know whether Lee possessed the wealth he had publicly claimed.
Lee has described himself as a billionaire businessman, although aspects of his financial and professional background have been publicly questioned.
The Daily Mail previously reported that one of Lee’s former partners, Dina Taji, alleged that a £200,000 mortgage had been taken out in her name without her knowledge.
According to the publication, legal action linked to that dispute resulted in a travel ban being imposed on Lee by Dubai authorities.
Lee strongly denied the mortgage allegation after his release.
Speaking from the back of a car in another social-media video, he challenged those making the claim to produce documentary evidence.
“There’s not one shred of evidence where I’ve taken a mortgage in someone else’s name, particularly in my ex-fiancée’s name Dina,” he said.
Lee questioned how he could benefit from taking out a mortgage under somebody else’s identity and called for the alleged paperwork to be made public.
Dina has largely declined to speak publicly about Lee.
However, she reportedly agreed to meet Katie in Dubai earlier this month to discuss her concerns face to face.
After their conversation, Katie admitted that the meeting had given her a great deal to consider.
“My eyes have been opened,” she said.
“I just need some time to think. I still cannot end things with Lee until I’ve spoken to him, but that was a lot.”
Other former partners have also publicly issued warnings about Lee.
Alana Percival has shared allegations on social media, while Crystal Janke claimed she handed Lee £123,000 for an investment after allegedly being promised a possible return of £1 million.
These are allegations, and the supplied report did not detail any court finding establishing that Lee had committed fraud against either woman.
Lee accused Alana of spreading stories about him and dismissed their relationship as extremely brief.
He claimed they were engaged for no more than six days and spent approximately one month together in total.
Lee also alleged that he paid for gifts, accommodation and other expenses during their relationship, while describing her as motivated by publicity.
Alana has disputed Lee’s portrayal of events and has shared her own account publicly.
The controversy has also caused concern within Katie’s family.
Sources quoted in the report claimed that relatives were worried about the amount of time she was spending away from her children while travelling between Britain and Dubai.
Katie’s sister Sophie had already expressed strong doubts about Lee during an episode of The Katie Price Show.
The sisters discussed Lee’s failure to appear for a planned Good Morning Britain interview after Katie claimed he had been prevented from boarding a flight because of a visa issue.
Katie later contacted the Foreign Office and was reportedly informed that a British man had been detained.
Sophie accused Lee of publicly humiliating her sister and said she believed Katie deserved better.
Katie acknowledged that the situation had made both her and Lee look foolish, describing the continuing saga as resembling a television soap opera.
Nevertheless, she refused to end the marriage before hearing Lee’s explanation directly.
She also defended her decision to travel to Dubai, saying she would make choices based on what she believed was right rather than public criticism.
“This is real life; this is my life,” Katie said.
“It has been a tough few weeks, don’t get me wrong. But I’ve still stayed strong through it all, and I have a smile on my face.”
She continued: “Some people might not like my choices, but I’m not living for everyone else.”
Katie insisted she had seen the online abuse and knew people were calling her foolish.
“I am not stupid,” she said.
For now, Katie’s actions suggest that she has chosen to believe her husband’s account, or at least give him an opportunity to prove it.
Their cinema date showed none of the tension that had surrounded their marriage during Lee’s disappearance.
Instead, they laughed, kissed and clung to one another as though determined to reclaim the time they had lost.
However, their reunion is unlikely to end the scrutiny surrounding Lee.
His extraordinary claim that he was captured at gunpoint and detained on suspicion of espionage remains unverified in the supplied report.
Questions also continue over the civil case he acknowledged, the reported demand for £140,000 and allegations made by former partners.
Katie may have leapt immediately back into her husband’s arms, but the explanations she previously demanded remain central to what happens next.
The emotional reunion suggests their marriage has survived the prison ordeal for now.
Whether it can also withstand the unanswered questions, family concerns and competing accounts surrounding Lee’s past is another matter entirely.
