Junior Andre has fired back at critics who claim he has had life handed to him on a plate — insisting he has never wanted to live off his famous parents’ success.
The 20-year-old singer, whose parents are pop star Peter Andre and former glamour model Katie Price, has opened up about secretly working nights for Transport for London while trying to keep his music dreams alive.
For years, Junior has lived under the glare of public attention. Born into one of Britain’s most famous celebrity families, he has grown up with cameras, headlines and constant comparisons. But now, he is making one thing clear: he wants to build his own future.
And he says he is not afraid of hard work. 💪
Junior revealed earlier this year on ITV’s The Princess Diaries that he had been working full-time night shifts for TFL while sorting out difficulties with his record label. It was a side of his life many fans had never seen before — far away from red carpets, music videos and celebrity events.
Instead of relying on his father’s fortune or his mother’s fame, Junior said he chose to graft.
Speaking in a new interview alongside his girlfriend Jasmine, Junior said his dad raised him with strict values and always made it clear that work matters.
“My dad was brought up very strict,” he said. “So regardless of anything he says, ‘You’ve got to work son.’”
He added that while both Peter and Katie are there for him, he does not want “handouts” and believes he needs to learn life “the proper way.”
Those words struck at the heart of the criticism often aimed at children of famous parents. In recent years, the phrase “nepo baby” has become a cutting label for young stars accused of benefiting from family connections rather than talent or effort.
But Junior insists that is not his story.
He said that when things became difficult, he refused to sit around doing nothing. Instead, he threw himself into work, even if it meant long nights, physical labour and exhaustion.
“I threw myself in the deep end,” he said, “but I never gave up on my dream.”

His younger sister Princess, 18, has also spoken proudly about his work ethic. She praised Junior for staying self-sufficient while dealing with label issues, saying she was “super proud” that he kept working even while chasing success in music.
That support clearly means a great deal.
Junior and Princess have grown up in the public eye together, often facing scrutiny because of their parents’ fame. Their father Peter became a household name in the 1990s with hits including Mysterious Girl and Flava, while their mother Katie Price rose to fame as glamour model Jordan before becoming one of the UK’s most talked-about reality stars.

He has already seen success with his music, with Princess saying his last two singles went in at number one. Yet behind those wins was a young man working nights, trying to fund his career and prove he could stand on his own feet.
Away from work, Junior also opened up about his relationship with Jasmine, who he has been dating for two years. The couple admitted they are not rushing into major life milestones such as marriage or children.
Junior said the thought of kids and marriage still scares him because they are not at that stage yet. Jasmine agreed, adding that having a child is a huge responsibility — “a full human.”
