Despite the passage of decades, Lumley insists that “age is just a number,” and she has no intention of slowing down anytime soon. “I’m very lucky to have been and continue to be a busy girl, thank god. Long may that continue!” she says, clearly showing no signs of retiring.

Very few females. Mostly men!”
With a career spanning decades, from The New Avengers to On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, and of course, her reign as the glamorous Patsy, Lumley has experienced incredible success. But beyond the fame, her beauty and elegance remain timeless. She credits her long-standing vegetarian diet for helping her maintain her youthful look but stresses that everyone should do what makes them feel happy, whether that’s cosmetic treatments or embracing their natural self.
When asked about future projects, Lumley reveals a passion for travel documentaries, but with a caveat. She wants her travel to be meaningful, avoiding the label of “That bloody woman who’s always jetting off all over the place!” She acknowledges the environmental impact of travel but insists that learning about new places is a joy she shares with her husband, Stephen Barlow, with whom she has been happily married for over 40 years.
“I’ve never been someone who can nip off and cheerfully lay on a beach somewhere, doing nothing,” she says, with her signature wit. “Stephen and I prefer to go somewhere for the sheer joy of finding out about the place.”
