Jeff Brazier has shared an emotional post about his newborn granddaughter, Isla Jade, just weeks after her birth. The 46-year-old father of Freddy Brazier, who lost his mother, Jade Goody, to cervical cancer in 2009, promised to tell his granddaughter all about the woman who passed away when Freddy was only four.
The proud grandfather took to Instagram on Sunday to share his joy, posting a photo of himself holding baby Isla in his arms, while expressing his deep love for the child. “Dear Isla Jade. You have no idea how deeply loved you are,” Jeff wrote. “Mummy and Daddy gave you her name, and we’re going to tell you all about her.” The name Isla Jade is a tribute to her late grandmother, Jade Goody, whose legacy lives on through her grandchild.
Freddy and his girlfriend, Holly Swinburn, welcomed their daughter earlier this month, and although their relationship has had its ups and downs, including a brief split last November, they’ve now rekindled their romance and are committed to co-parenting Isla.
Jeff’s post also reflected on the profound impact of his daughter-in-law Holly and Freddy on his life, thanking them for the joy their little one has brought. He continued, “Holding you is pure peace. All my love, Grandad (though you’re welcome to call me something cooler when you’re older!)”
Freddy and Holly’s relationship has been through turbulence, including Freddy’s partying during Holly’s absence, which led to their split. However, after their reunion this year, Freddy is now focused on being the “best dad he can be.”
