Jack Whitehall’s Hilarious Wedding Dress Code Mix-Up Leaves Mum Furious
Jack Whitehall’s upcoming wedding to model Roxy Horner has taken a humorous twist, with his mother, Hilary, left fuming after receiving the wrong dress code information from her son. The funnyman, 37, who is set to marry Roxy, 34, this weekend, unintentionally caused a wardrobe dilemma for Hilary after giving her incorrect details about what to wear.
According to Daily Mail‘s Richard Eden, Jack had informed his mother of the dress code “several weeks ago,” but Hilary later discovered that the instructions were completely off. “When I asked Jack what the dress code was several weeks ago… he gave me the wrong dress code,” she shared, laughing off the mix-up. “I got the wrong dress, then the wedding invitation arrived with a completely different dress code on it. Jack said, ‘Sorry about that, Mumsy.'”
Despite the mix-up, the excitement for the wedding is palpable. On Wednesday, bride-to-be Roxy shared a sweet kiss with Jack before hopping into a taxi, while preparations for the big day were in full swing, with Roxy’s bridal gown seen being carried out.
Roxy looked effortlessly chic in a white T-shirt, baseball cap, and jeans as she joined Jack for their last moments before the ceremony. Jack, sporting a beige jumper and black jeans, was full of nervous excitement as he helped load suitcases into the taxi, along with their daughter’s pram.
Hilary, who had already been partying it up at Roxy’s wild hen do, seems to have taken the dress code blunder in stride. The model’s hen do in London earlier this month included karaoke, a private dinner, and a surprise lap dance from a Magic Mike stripper, leaving Roxy and her friends in stitches. Hilary joined in the fun, looking glamorous in a pink sequin blazer and matching trousers.
Meanwhile, Jack’s stag do was full of wild antics, including a Guinness-fueled six-hour pub crawl and a trip to the risque cabaret venue The Box in Soho. The comedian confessed his memory of the night was “patchy” but was grateful the Daily Mail had a detailed report of his celebration.
As Jack and Roxy prepare to tie the knot this weekend, it’s clear their wedding festivities are full of laughs, surprises, and plenty of memorable moments. The couple, who have been together since 2020 and engaged since 2024, are also parents to a two-year-old daughter, Elsie.
Will Jack’s wedding be just as full of laughter and fun as his pre-wedding celebrations? Stay tuned!
