In a surprising turn of events, Helen Flanagan has reunited with her ex, Scott Sinclair, as they part ways from their £995,000 family home following their dramatic split. Despite their long history of conflict, the pair was seen laughing and joking together as they loaded their belongings into a removal van, marking the end of an era in their lives.
A House Full of Memories, But No More Peace
The former Coronation Street star, 35, and ex-footballer Scott, who were together for 13 years, have finally sold their six-bedroom Lancashire mansion for £500,000 under the original asking price. The property, once a symbol of their life together, was first put on the market for £1.5 million in May last year, before a series of price reductions ultimately brought it down to £995,000.
While the sale brings closure, it’s clear that Helen has had mixed feelings about leaving the family home. According to insiders, she had wanted to stay in the house where she raised their three children—Matilda, 10, Delilah, 7, and Charlie, 5. Yet, after months of negotiations and tension, she’s made peace with the move. Helen described the house as filled with “sadness,” as it was once meant to be their “forever family home.”
Scott’s Role and the Financial Fallout
As the sole owner of the house, Scott is set to pocket around £155,000 from the sale if it went for the asking price. Sources close to the couple have revealed the strain in their relationship, with Scott paying for the house and bills, but deciding that the large family residence was too much for Helen to manage alone.
While Scott was reportedly keen to buy Helen a smaller, four-bedroom home, he wanted to stop the maintenance payments, which has led to further friction. Their relationship has completely broken down, and communication is now handled through family members. A friend shared, “Everything goes through her parents now. They no longer communicate directly.”
A New Beginning for the Family
Despite the ongoing tension, Helen appeared unfazed during the moving process, maintaining her upbeat demeanor and even sharing laughs with Scott while they packed up the house. The couple’s dramatic separation has been a long time coming, with much of Helen’s frustration stemming from Scott’s lack of presence in their children’s lives following his breakup with girlfriend Lauren Davies.
In December, Helen made a pointed swipe at Scott on social media, calling him a “piece of s***” just days after their public fallout. “Scott hasn’t been present for his kids,” said a source. “He’s been flaunting his wealth on social media instead of stepping up for his children.”
Helen, who has often praised her own mother for supporting her and her kids, shared her gratitude for her mum on Instagram. “The BEST grandma ever,” Helen wrote, acknowledging her mother for handling the day-to-day responsibilities while Helen worked on a panto in Liverpool. “I’m so lucky to have you, mum,” she added.
Moving On from the Past
Although the emotional scars from their split remain, Helen seems ready to move on, both from the house and the lingering tensions with Scott. With her focus now on her children and her career, she’s determined to close this chapter of her life.
“It was never about the house,” a friend of Helen’s said. “It’s about moving on and starting fresh. For her, this is the first step toward healing.”
