George Clarke, the beloved Strictly Come Dancing star, bravely opened up about his mum, Nicky’s, devastating health struggles during an emotional appearance on ITV’s This Morning.

With tears welling in his eyes, the 33-year-old star shared the heart-wrenching journey that his mum has been on since she was diagnosed with both cancer and encephalitis, a life-threatening brain condition.
George revealed that when his mum was first diagnosed, doctors gave her a slim 20% chance of survival. “She was put into an induced coma for months, and the doctors didn’t think she’d make it,” George’s voice cracked with emotion. “It’s been a long, hard road, but she’s still here, still fighting.”

But Nicky’s health battle didn’t stop there. George bravely discussed the ongoing toll the illness has taken on her, including devastating memory loss and the loss of her senses. “She’s lost her ability to taste and smell, and most of her long-term memory is gone,” he shared, fighting back tears. “Her sleeping patterns are disrupted, and even the slightest noise can make her heart race. It’s heartbreaking to watch her deal with this every day.”

Despite all of this, George spoke of his mum with immense pride, calling her incredible. “She’s still the same strong woman. You’d never know what she’s going through unless you see it up close,” George said, his admiration for her evident.

Throughout his Strictly journey, George has often expressed how important his mum is to him, and he reflected on a deeply emotional moment when he dedicated his Rumba dance to her. “I’ve always been her biggest cheerleader, and I know she’s been mine too,” he shared.
His mum’s resilience continues to inspire him as he supports her every step of the way. “No matter what, she’s still here, and that’s what matters most,” George concluded, holding back tears.

George’s emotional revelation has deeply moved fans, with many offering messages of love and support for both him and his mum during this incredibly difficult time. 💖💔
